The Advisor Directed Programs Sr. Specialist works on all aspects of the team's respective advisory programs. The Sr. Specialist collaborates with the Program Manager, Financial Advisors (FAs), Compliance, Advisory Operations, and other groups inside and outside Stifel. The primary goal of the program management team is to provide highly competent support to Stifel Financial Advisors through the efficient and effective management of Advisor Directed advisory programs. Success in this role requires an engaged, proactive communicator who is comfortable picking up the phone to work directly with Financial Advisors and their staff, including when conversations are complex or difficult. The Sr. Specialist also brings a process-oriented mindset, identifying opportunities to re-imagine legacy processes and develop clearer, more efficient ways of working. • Provides day-to-day support to Financial Advisors and their staff through responsive service and proactive outreach, including phone conversations involving complex, sensitive, or difficult issues.
• Maintains a thorough understanding of Advisory Programs from an operational, compliance, and analytical point of view and applies this knowledge to recommend changes or enhancements to programs and processes.
• Collaborates with the Program Manager on monitoring and analyzing Advisor Driven programs.
• Develops FA & Client communications related to Advisory Program changes and/or disclosure items.
• Helps oversee the development and maintenance of department standard operating procedures and ensures processes are clearly documented, practical, and consistently applied.
• Evaluates existing workflows and legacy processes, partners with stakeholders to identify root causes and opportunities for improvement, and helps design and implement more efficient, scalable, and sustainable solutions.
• Handles escalated issues and serves as a subject matter expert on cross-functional teams.
• Works closely with various teams within the organization to implement program enhancements/projects.
• Assists Program Manager with project management across team initiatives.
• Communicates clearly and collaborates effectively with stakeholders across the Firm to advance projects, resolve issues, and build alignment.
• Interacts with Advisory Operations and Advisory Compliance to resolve issues regarding accounts, fees, trading, and other issues.
• Reviews all Advisory Program marketing and support materials to ensure they are accurate and made available promptly.
• Coordinates with the Advisory Marketing team to ensure appropriate program information is shared with FAs and recruits.
• Knowledge of brokerage and investment advisory industries.
• Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or problem approaches.
• Excellent customer service and relationship-management skills, with a willingness to think critically and creatively when solving problems.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the confidence and judgment to proactively contact Financial Advisors and their staff by phone and navigate complex or difficult conversations professionally.
• Process-oriented mindset with the ability to assess current-state workflows, challenge legacy practices constructively, and translate ideas into clear, practical process improvements.
• Understanding of operational and regulatory considerations in developing advisory program solutions.
• Ability to act independently, exercise sound judgment, and take ownership of issues through resolution to meet team objectives.
• Commitment to collaborative work and building consensus across disparate groups of stakeholders.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks and projects while maintaining clear, timely communication with stakeholders.
• Ability to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions.
• Minimum Required: Bachelor's degree
• Minimum Required: 5+ years of investment industry experience.
• Leadership or team management experience is preferred.
• Minimum Required: Series 7, 63 and 65 (Series 66 in lieu of 63 and 65) within 12 months of hire
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Familiarity with one or more project management applications is preferred.
• Experience with data analytics/presentation tools (e.g., Tableau) is preferred.
