What You'll Be Doing

The Operations Associate III-New Accounts Technology is responsible for being a lead contributor in the development and aiding of driving departmental results for the ongoing support for Stifel's branch offices and additional tasks that could require more experience and expertise. This position requires the ability to gain a sound understanding of department subject matter, including application support and training and general operational questions. The Associate III will provide application support and training and answer more complex operational questions for the department and branch support. This position requires a sound understanding of department subject matter, including application support and training, and a higher knowledge of operational and industry questions. The Associate III can lead projects and be the point of contact for department issues. This position will require collaboration among team members, branch office personnel, and other areas at the firm to provide high customer service.

What We're Looking For

  • Works within established firm and department guidelines to review and work various queues within internal systems for new accounts and account updates.
  • Provides high-level support and training to other team members in the department for internal systems.
  • Identifies potential problems or issues within various queues, including system, branch, and department errors; escalates to department leadership when necessary.
  • Performs QA, UAT, and Regression Testing for new items and system updates.
  • May develop new testing plans, allocate tasks, and maintain a log of ongoing open jobs related to internal systems.
  • Works with external vendors on regulatory mailings, new account packets, and other items as needed.
  • Identifies account types and account structures to know defined roles, rights, coding, and views for all accounts.
  • Completes various reports to ensure account coding, documents, and data on accounts are accurate.
  • Work collaboratively within a team and with other department areas to perform assigned tasks.
  • May provide informal guidance and training to help support team members.
  • Manages higher level and sensitive information to make sound decisions and solve complex situations.
  • Maintains a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude and always promotes team collaboration.
  • Provides the highest quality of customer service through written and verbal communication.
  • Other department duties may be assigned, including hotline phone calls, department emails, document coding, and other account updates or projects.

What You'll Bring

  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to analyze issues and produce resolutions.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Advanced knowledge of account types, structures, and documentation.
  • High-level customer service skills.
  • Ability to utilize sound judgment to assist with more complex issues with the ability to disseminate relevant information to leadership.
  • Ability to learn Stifel's applications, industry rules/regulations, and Stifel policies that pertain to the department and Stifel's branches.
  • Knowledgeable of financial services applications, systems, terminology, and procedures.
  • Ability to lead the training of both new and existing associates on departmental and branch processes.
  • Able to analyze, determine, and correct the causes of high-level and advanced inquiries, issues, and errors.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum Required: High School Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Minimum Required: 4+ years of professional business-related experience.

Systems & Technology

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • SQL knowledge preferred.
  • Thomson One, BETA, eQuest, and Onbase experience preferred. #LI-AS1
