What You'll Be Doing

The Senior Accounting Associate prepares and enters data into the accounting system. This position assists with reporting and general ledger reconciliations. The Senior is responsible for coaching junior associates.

What We're Looking For

• Researches transaction and/or payment issues and provides a timely resolution.
• Responds to requests for financial information from other areas of the business.
• Processes journal entries associated with assigned accounts.
• Creates weekly, monthly, annual, and ad-hoc financial reports for the accounting department and the business.
• Assists with general ledger reconciliations and balancing.
• Coaches junior associates, assisting with questions, reviewing work product, and advising on department policy and procedure.

What You'll Bring

• Strong understanding of how to operate within systems, processes, policies and procedures.
• Thorough knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, financial data, concepts, and associated terminology.
• Basic understanding of the financial markets and financial services industry.
• Strong ability to use mathematics to perform financial calculations and solve issues.
• Adaptable and flexible to changes within the accounting processes, procedures and systems with the cooperation of others.
• Able to coach others and share knowledge, policy and procedure, and best practices.

 

Education & Experience

• Minimum Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum Required: 4-6 years' related experience

Systems & Technology

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook. #LI-JK1
