2026 Equity Research Bridge Program

Our Equity Research Group is comprised of award-winning analysts, many with significant hands-on experience in their respective industries. We offer objective, in-depth analysis and timely, actionable research ideas on more than 2,000 stocks across multiple sectors and geographies.

 

We are focused on producing proprietary and differentiated research, based on deep industry knowledge, access to unique proprietary events, management interviews, company site visits, channel checks, and insightful surveys and questioning of customers and key opinion leaders.

 

Combined with KBW, Stifel operates the second largest U.S. equity research platform and is the largest provider of global small-cap coverage.

The Equity Research Bridge Program is a selective two-day career exploration and professional development seminar where motivated undergraduate sophomore students will gain a deeper understanding of career paths in Stifel and Keefe, Bruyette & Woods (KBW) Equity Research as well as the key concepts that are being used in the Equity Research domain. Selected attendees will participate in both lecture style and interactive programming, as well as networking activities with Stifel and KBW Research Associates. These activities will enable attendees to gain an inside look at the Equity Research industry overall, as well as what a career at Stifel and KBW could look like

By the end of the program, participants will have a deeper understanding of the critical role Equity Research plays in financial markets and how Stifel and KBW’s research platforms stand out as industry leaders. The program will run in our New York office from Wednesday January 7 to Thursday January 8. Selected high performing participants will be given priority consideration for our 2027 Equity Research Summer Internship Program.

• Interested candidates should submit one PDF with a resume and a statement of interest to the Stifel Career site posting
• Statements of interest should be no longer than 500 words and should cover why the candidate is interested in Equity Research and what they hope to gain from the program.
• This is an in-person program. Candidates must be able to travel to the New York office for the event dates from Wednesday January 7 to Thursday January 8. Travel will be covered by Stifel.
• Resume must be submitted in PDF format. Word documents will not be accepted
• Demonstrated interest in both Equity Research and finance
• Interested in pursuing a career in Equity Research
• Demonstrated track record of achievement in academic and extracurricular activities
• Strong written communication skills, especially in synthesizing complex information
• Demonstrated curiosity and intellectual engagement with markets and industry trends
• Comfort working with large datasets and financial tools
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Driven, proactive, and team-oriented
• Exceptional problem solving, analytic, and Microsoft Office skills

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree with an anticipated graduation date between December 2027 - May 2028.
• Minimum GPA of 3.5 or above.

• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
