Stifel’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Department works to minimize risk to the firm’s capital and future earnings through the strategic planning, organization, and control of business initiatives, with a focus on vendor management, data privacy, market risk, regulatory affairs, and business continuity.

As an Enterprise Risk Management Model Risk Intern at Stifel, you will have the opportunity to work closely with highly skilled professionals and contribute to important risk management initiatives, helping to identify and mitigate potential risks across the organization. This position provides a solid foundation for building a successful career in risk management and offers valuable exposure to the financial services industry.

• Annual Reviews Support – assisting with the preparation of annual review packages for existing models, gathering documentation, and tracking follow-up items.

• Non-Model Risk Program Implementation – providing support for the rollout of a new non-model risk program once formally approved, including items similar to those in annual reviews

 • Dashboard & Reporting Development – helping design, build, and maintain dashboards for MRM reporting; gathering and cleaning data; and generating metrics to support reporting

 • General – supporting ad-hoc MRM/ERM initiatives as needed.

• Excellent analytical and problem- solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload.

• Currently pursuing a degree in finance, accounting, risk management, or a related field.
• Familiarity with relevant financial systems and industry practices.
• Demonstrated interest in risk management and a desire to pursue a career in the field.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
