What You'll Be Doing

The Private Bank Lending Associate is primarily responsible for assisting in the execution of the Private Bank Lending (PBL) marketing plan. This position will also work closely with the PBL team in valuing private, illiquid assets to support the team's effort to originate, structure, underwrite, close, and monitor loans.

What We're Looking For

  • Develop presentations and tracking databases to drive ongoing Marketing Outreach Program.
  • Create pitch books, valuation studies, and detailed memorandums for the team.
  • Partner with management to drive forward the Originations process.
  • Assess risk, analyze, and structure PBL requests to prepare and facilitate credit decisions.
  • Create reports and presentations showing team initiative metrics.
  • Partner with Lenders, Credit Analysts, and Risk Management throughout end-to-end credit process, including underwriting and portfolio management.
  • Ensure all credits meet the Firm's quality targets, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform valuations for private, illiquid esoteric assets.
  • Participate in analysis and review of publicly and privately-held collateral.
  • Produce and prepare auditor review requests.

What You'll Bring

  • Understand and comply with all regulations, including the Community Reinvestment Act, Bank Secrecy Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, etc.
  • Knowledge of the Private Banking target market.
  • Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
  • Ability to use strong interpersonal skills to interact with customers and negotiate mutually acceptable terms.
  • Use of logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, or another business related field
  • Minimum Required: 3-5 years' of Investment Banking or related experience

Licenses & Credentials

  • Minimum Required: None

Systems & Technology

  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Suite including Word and Excel.

Compensation Range

Salary: USD $77,400.00/Yr. - USD $92,900.00/Yr.

Actual salaries may vary, and may be based on several factors, including but not limited to each candidate’s qualifications, skills, and overall competencies for the position. The base salary is one component of Stifel’s overall compensation package for each individual employee.
