What You'll Be Doing

The Equity Product Support Associate is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations and support of KBW’s Equity desk in New York City. This is a multi-faceted role that will provide broad exposure to the entirety of the firm’s Equity business.

What We're Looking For

  • Support the equity sales and trading desk in New York City.
  • Assist with managing and troubleshooting the firm’s OMS (Fidessa), including FIX connectivity, trade reporting and other execution services.
  • Assist with implementing and testing systemic controls necessary for compliance with 15c3-5 and other regulatory obligations.
  • Analyze trade data, commission metrics and other statistics to draw analytical conclusions for presentation to management and other internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct routine account-based analytics to supplement specific firm objectives.
  • Assist with the firm’s overall Commission Management, invoicing and CSA processes.
  • Mediate with compliance, accounting and operations to address intraday matters and larger projects as they arise.

What You'll Bring

  • Serve as an intermediary between traders, salespeople, clients, senior management, operations, compliance, IT, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of modern market structure and previous experience in a sales and trading or capital markets environment is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Bloomberg, Fidessa OMS, and Salesforce, or other similar systems, is preferred.
  • Previous experience working with large data sets and Commission Management products, is preferred.
  • Able to extract conclusions from multiple data sources for presentation to management and other internal stakeholders.
  • Detail oriented and motivated team player who works under pressure, commits to time constraints and occasionally works long hours

Education & Experience

  • Minimum Required: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum Required: 1+ years of relevant experience

Licenses & Credentials

  • Minimum Required: SIE, FINRA Series 7 and Series 63, or ability to be obtained within 6 months

Systems & Technology

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, required.
  • Fidessa OMS or another Order Management System.
  • Salesforce or another CRM System.
  • Bloomberg.
  • SQL knowledge is a bonus.

Compensation Range

Salary: USD $80,000.00/Yr. - USD $90,000.00/Yr.

Actual salaries may vary, and may be based on several factors, including but not limited to each candidate’s qualifications, skills, and overall competencies for the position. The base salary is one component of Stifel’s overall compensation package for each individual employee.
