What You'll Be Doing

This is an entry level backoffice Operations position. 

 

The Operations Associate II - Fixed Income Settlements performs departmental duties and ensures accuracy in processing assets received from and/or delivered to the Depository Trust Company (DTC) or the Federal Reserve System (FED) participants/custodians. The Operations Associate II - Fixed Income Settlements has a good working knowledge of the department's duties, functions, and regulatory requirements.

What We're Looking For

  • Proficiently process securities' transactions in accordance with policy and procedures.
  • Process receive and deliver transactions, giving special attention where required by monitoring for accuracy and timeliness, and delivering only when appropriate.
  • Assist in advanced researching, reporting, and taking action on trade settlement issues.
  • Enter information for new issues' DTC eligibility and collaborate with others on closing.
  • Cross-train and assist, or learn additional tasks or desks, to ensure the work of the team is accomplished daily.
  • Assist with bookkeeping functions or other office functions, as instructed.
  • Perform administrative departmental duties to include (but not limited to) communication with internal and external Stifel contacts; compiles, scans/copies, and files records of business activities; and reviews/researches to obtain information for requests.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Minimum Required: 2+ years related experience.

Systems & Technology

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel  #LI-AS1
