What You'll Be Doing

At Stifel, Associates are primarily responsible for acting as the keystone of all project teams, serving as project manager taking guidance from senior bankers and managing and mentoring Analysts. Associates work on small, client-focused teams within Stifel's leading equities and capital markets franchise. We offer Associates a unique environment which combines a highly entrepreneurial platform focused on emerging growth companies with significant analytical rigor. 

What We're Looking For

  • Manage all aspects of transaction execution and develop client and public investor relationships.
  • Work on multiple projects and transactions at any given time in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work closely with senior-level bankers across the firm and play a critical role in originating and executing equity transactions.
  • Lead the deal process from development of origination materials to execution.
  • Develop bespoke financing and execution materials for senior-level client executives.
  • Help clients achieve their financial and strategic objectives.
  • Build a strong network of contacts in the banking, public investor, and emerging growth corporate communities.
  • Review all Analyst work for consistency, appropriate formatting, accuracy, and take ownership of all client deliverables.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Strong understanding of the global capital markets and equity-related products
  • High aptitude in mathematical analysis, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including but not limited to PowerPoint and Excel
  • Critical understanding of corporate finance concepts, valuation methodologies and accounting policies
  • Detail-oriented with an exceptional work ethic and high level of professionalism

Education & Experience

  • Minimum Required: Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field
  • Minimum Required: 4-6 years of investment banking, capital markets, or equity research experience

Licenses & Credentials

  • Actively held and in good standing with SIE Exam, Series 7, Series 63 licenses (or must be obtained within 3 months of employment)

Systems & Technology

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • High level of proficiency with Bloomburg, Capital IQ, FactSet, and other third-party systems

The base salary is one component of Stifel’s overall compensation package for each individual employee.
