Stifel's 8-week Summer Analyst Program provides students with a hands-on introduction to the role of an Analyst. You will work alongside our banking professionals, from Analyst to Managing Director level, and will gain exposure to a variety of public finance transactions and sector types. Interns are expected to work on multiple projects simultaneously, with primary responsibilities in the research and analysis related to transaction generation and execution.
Stifel’s Public Finance professionals perform investment banking services for city, state and local government agencies, helping them raise capital to build and maintain essential infrastructure in the communities they serve. From some of the nation’s largest states, cities, convention centers and economic development projects to rural school districts and small towns and nearly everything in between, our municipal banking and underwriting groups work with public and not-for-profit entities to develop and implement financing strategies that allow them to operate and optimize the important work they do.
In 2022, for the ninth consecutive year, Stifel ranked #1 serving as senior or sole manager for negotiated public municipal bond issues, annually pricing more than one in every ten issues in the nation on a Stifel desk. In 2021, Stifel became the first bank to underwrite more than 1,000 negotiated issues in a single year. Stifel Public Finance has a full scale national presence, and is comprised of about 250 professionals across 36 offices.
