The Security Infrastructure Engineer is a front-line member of the Security Infrastructure team that has responsibility for providing security infrastructure technologies for the protection of Stifel assets. The Security Infrastructure Engineer responsible for assisting in the engineering design, analysis, and support for security infrastructure and defense solutions.
• Assist in the engineering, implementation of security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks and information.
• Implements cyber security solutions for organization systems and products that comply with all applicable security policies and standards
• Assis in documenting standard operating procedures and protocols
• Analyzes and makes recommendations to improve network, system and application architectures
• Troubleshoot security infrastructure devices..
• Provide rotational after-hour support for security infrastructure support
• Coordinate planned change windows, and log results.
• Experience with firewall, content filtering and other security infrastructure solutions.
• Familiarity of security control frameworks and practices
• Understanding of how to identify and prioritize security incidents and/or escalate to management or other team members.
• Proven troubleshooting skills with ability to systematically assess a problem or situation to accurately identify probable causes and solutions.
• Understanding of a broad range of IT disciplines that would impact overall security posture.
• Fundamental understanding of IP-based networking and networking components, including monitoring tools.
• Minimum Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum Required: 0-2 years' experience in an information technology or information security role
• Experience working with firewalls and other network security technologies
• Experience with ticketing systems
• Experience with office productivity, reporting, and technical documentation software
• Exposure to systems monitoring tools and logging tools
• Numerous versions of Microsoft Windows and Web Browsers
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
