What You'll Be Doing

The High Yield Junior Desk Analyst supports senior analysts in preparing research by collecting, organizing, and analyzing financial and other data. As an analyst, this position interacts daily with the other research analysts, salespeople, traders, and clients.

What We're Looking For

  • Create and maintain financial models.
  • Partake in company and industry conference calls.
  • Write investment related research reports and presentations.
  • Support senior analysts in all facets of their responsibilities.
  • Maintain customer databases and relationships.
  • Support traders and salespeople in their requests to research analysts.

What You'll Bring

  • Ability to develop and manage financial spreadsheets, models, projections and  comp tables.
  • Excellent accounting, modeling, analytical, computer, written and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage one's time, projects and deadlines to ensure the timely completion of all items.
  • Ability to use data and analytics to develop investment ideas.
  • Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, financial data reporting, financial markets and banking.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting and/or Finance
  • Minimum Required:1-3 years' of experience in Credit or equity Research or Financial Analysis is desirable but not necessary

Licenses & Credentials

  • Minimum Required: SIE, Series 7 & 63 or obtain within 6 months of hire

Systems & Technology

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook

Compensation Range

Salary: USD $85,000.00/Yr. - USD $95,000.00/Yr.

Actual salaries may vary, and may be based on several factors, including but not limited to each candidate’s qualifications, skills, and overall competencies for the position.The base salary is one component of Stifel’s overall compensation package for each individual employee.
