Consent Policy
I agree that the information I am providing in this application is true and complete to the best of my knowledge or belief. I understand that any false or misleading information or misrepresentations by omission in my application form or any related document, interviews, or other aspects of my application can result in my disqualification as a candidate for employment or my immediate discharge if already employed. I further understand that my consent here will remain valid in connection with any application(s) for Stifel employment.
I agree to provide all work experience within the last 10 years, including any part-time employment; contractor and/or volunteer positions; and periods of unemployment that were not investment related. I also agree that a resume may not be submitted in lieu of completing employment information.
I authorize and request any and all of my former employers and any other person to furnish to Stifel or its affiliated companies, or any agent acting on its behalf, any information they may provide concerning my character, general reputation, personal characteristics, business activities, educational background, and creditworthiness, together with, in the case of former employers, a history of my employment by them and the reasons for the termination thereof. Moreover, I hereby release such employer and each such person from any and all liability of whatsoever nature by reason of furnishing said information to Stifel or its affiliated companies, or any agent acting on its behalf. If hired, I agree to accept the decisions of any regulatory authority on approval or denial of my employment as applicable.
Waiver of Jury Trial and Class/Collective Actions. I understand and agree that by submitting this employment application for consideration, I am expressly waiving my right to participate in, collect damages in, opt in, or serve as a representative in any class or collective action against Stifel or any of its affiliates. I further expressly waive and relinquish the right to a trial before a jury in any action, brought in any court, concerning my employment or denial of employment with Stifel.
I understand that my employment is contingent upon: (1) If applicable, Central Registration Depository (CRD) verifying my license and/or registration and revealing the absence of any material violation, fine, suspension, or other regulatory action having been taken against me, (2) my successful completion of reference, financial, credit, and criminal background checks, which will be obtained with my written consent from a credit reporting agency in the form of a consumer report and/or an investigative consumer report; and (3) my providing appropriate work authorization and completing an “I-9 form” within three days of employment. Furthermore, I represent that:
(1) I am legally free to enter into an employment relationship with Stifel or its affiliated companies; (2) I have no obligation to any other person or entity that would affect or conflict with my employment with Stifel or its affiliated companies; and (3) my employment with Stifel or its affiliated companies will not violate any law, rule, regulation, order, decree, or contract. If hired, my fingerprints will be taken and forwarded to the Federal Bureau of Investigation for comparison with their files of all arrest records, in compliance with SEC Rule 17f-2.
This application does not constitute an express or implied contract. If an employment relationship is established, I understand that my employment is “at will” and of an indefinite duration, that I have a right to terminate my employment at any time with or without cause, and that Stifel or its affiliated companies retains a similar right to terminate my employment at any time with or without cause.
