What You'll Be Doing

The Trade Review Associate verifies that the Financial Advisor (FA) initiating a life insurance transaction is appropriately licensed and registered, verifies contract data with insurance companies, responds to a high volume of calls from Financial Advisors and Sales Assistants related to insurance paperwork requirements, and provides some limited general assistance to branches. The Associate assists the Analyst, Sr. Analyst, and Supervisor in all aspects of their job with the intent to progress to the next level upon passing the required licenses.

What We're Looking For

  • Performs the initial review of all Insurance Withdrawals, Sub pays, New Purchases, and Exchanges.
  • Ensures that all Stifel acknowledgment letters are completed and signed and that the appropriate Financial Advisor has approved and signed the transactions.
  • Ensures that investment objectives and financial information on Stifel's Account Demographics match the objectives on the Transaction Detail Report/Acknowledgement Letters.
  • Interacts with FAs and Sales Assistants, providing information about errors found or data elements. Professionally handles objections for delayed or canceled transactions and adequately explains such situations to Manager.
  • Provides limited assistance to FAs and Sales Assistants regarding paperwork requirements, submission process, and request uploading to the Insurance Database.
  • Collaborates daily with the Trade Review Analyst, Sr. Analyst, Supervisor, and Licensing/Registration and Annuity Operations Departments.

What You'll Bring

  • Some understanding, knowledge, and experience in the financial industry.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Solid organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines promptly.
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify complex problems, review related information, develop options, and implement solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; good interpersonal interaction and ability to work well with others.

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • 1+ years' experience in the financial services industry required. 

Licenses & Credentials

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
