What You'll Be Doing

The Cloud Operations Engineer manages, monitors, and optimizes cloud-based infrastructure, applications, and services. This role ensures the smooth functioning of cloud environments by handling tasks such as resource provisioning, configuration management, deployment, automation, and incident response.

What We're Looking For

  • Implements standardized offerings to facilitate the successful deployment of stacks:
  • Continuous build, test, integration, and deployment of platforms and pipelines.
  • Automated testing frameworks for applications and infrastructure.
  • Implements standardized offerings to ensure the operational health of stacks:
  • Metrics collection, aggregation, and visualization.
  • Log collection, aggregation, and correlation.
  • Event management and routing.
  • Inventory, capacity, and billing/tag management.
  • Clean up and decommissioning of unused or uncompliant resources.
  • Deploys complex infrastructure (interlinking systems); Configures, manages and troubleshoots systems of scale - various levels of complexity (Cloud, virtualization, distributed networks, colocation, etc.).
  • Develops, tracks, and leverages performance metrics for continuous improvement.
  • Pair with application teams and implement of:
  • Continuous testing and delivery practices.
  • Standard practices that ensure their operational health & excellence.
  • Implement Cloud team products and legacy applications that do not operate in a full-stack operating model.
  • Leads the collection of metrics and generation of relevant reporting mechanisms.
  • Drives continuous delivery and full-stack operations communities of practices across the Cloud Enablement Team.

What You'll Bring

  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and experience with scripting and automation tools.
  • Solid foundation in IT infrastructure, networking, and cloud technologies.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Understanding of automation tools.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in deploying, managing, and monitoring cloud infrastructure. 

Education & Experience

  • Minimum Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • Minimum Required: 3+ years of experience working with a public cloud infrastructure.

Licenses & Credentials

  • AWS Certifications (Architect, SysOps, DevOps) is preferred.

Systems & Technology

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Python, Java, C++, or Ruby.
  • Experience with SQL.
